Bridge replacement begins on M-66 near Evart March 31

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing approximately $3.5 million to replace the M-66 bridge over Doc and Tom Creek in Osceola County between US-10 and M-115.

Traffic restrictions:
Lane closures will be in effect throughout the project. M-66 is scheduled to close April 14 with traffic detoured onto US-10 and M-115.
A project to improve the M-66 bridge over the Muskegon River, just north of Doc and Tom Creek, is scheduled for 2026.
Jobs numbers:
Based on economic modeling, this $3.5 million investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 33 jobs.
Safety benefit:
This long-term investment will increase safety, improve the ride quality, and extend the service life of the bridge.
