About the Region

The Bay Region manages more than 5,300 lane miles of state trunkline in fifteen counties across Central Michigan and the Thumb area. In addition to the region office there are four transportation service centers (TSC), five maintenance facilities, and two welcome centers.

Regions and TSCs work with local governments, elected officials, stakeholders, and residents to ensure positive transportation decisions that keep people and goods moving safely, efficiently, and reliably through the region.
