Technical training for local agencies and consultants

The technical training (TT) course schedule lists the various technical training courses offered through the Office of Organizational Development during the construction off-season months for the local agencies and consultants.

2025 Technical training course schedule

Local agencies

Local agencies refers to State of Michigan municipalities only, such as cities and counties. (ex: FHWA, Ingham County Road Commission, City of Jackson, Michigan colleges and universities, etc.). Non-State of Michigan municipalities must use the consultant process. 

Consultants

Consultants refers to incorporated companies and any non-State of Michigan municipality. Consultants must use ACEC to register for courses.

Local agencies and consultants

Training cancellation policy 

Cancellations are requested at least two weeks prior to the class/course start date in order to allow those on the waitlist to attend. MDOT expects full attendance and participation in this class/course. Certifications and certificates of completion will not be issued for participants that fail to attend and/or participate. 

All payments for classes and courses are non-refundable.

Technician certifications

Technician certifications are now being transitioned into AASHTOWare Project accessible through MILogin. 

To gain access, request access to AASHTOWare Project in MILogin and send an e-mail to the helpdesk to complete your profile setup.
