Safe Sleep Resources by County
Find local community agencies and health departments that promote infant safe sleep and provide infant safe sleep education and resources, such as educational materials, pack and plays, and sleep sacks. Please note that your health insurance provider may cover a pack and play or car seat. Meridian Medicaid Plan covers a car seat and a pack and play for all members who are pregnant or had a baby. Molina Healthcare Medicaid offers a free car seat if the pregnant person participates in an early virtual pregnancy visit with Ouma Health. Check directly with your health insurance provider to see what they cover. If you need additional assistance, go to Michigan 211 or call 2-1-1 or go to MIBridges. In addition, home visiting programs can help support pregnant women and new parents. Learn more about the Maternal Infant Health Program and other home visiting programs. Please note that resources listed may be subject to change due to funding availability. Please contact the Infant Safe Sleep Program at MDHHS-InfantSafeSleep@michigan.gov if information on this page needs to be updated. |
