PORT HURON, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $2.1 million to improve the Allen Road bridge over I-69 in St. Clair County. As a part of this project, MDOT will close I-69 in both directions at Allen Road for demolition work March 21-24. County: St. Clair Highway: I-69 Closest community: Port Huron Start date: 7 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025 Estimated end date: 6 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2025 Overall project end date: July 2025 Jobs numbers: Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 20 jobs. Traffic restrictions: Both directions of I-69 will be closed and detoured via Wadhams Road, Griswold Road, Range Road and I-94. Allen Road will be closed at I-69 in each direction during this project. Traffic will be detoured via Lapeer Road, Range Road and Griswold Road. Safety benefit: Closing the interstate during this type of work is necessary to allow crews to safely perform demolition work and ensure the safety of the motoring public.
SAGINAW, Mich. -The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $7.3 million to stabilize the slope along M-25 along Lake Huron south of French Line Road in Sanilac County.
GAYLORD, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will resume its $17 million project to rebuild 3.3 miles of US-23 between South Huron Avenue in Mackinaw City and Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park in Cheboygan County on March 31.
