Breastfeeding for Professionals Working with Families Online Course
The online course, Breastfeeding for Professionals Working with Families, is designed to provide professionals working with families the tools to build a culture of breastfeeding within the workplace and the families they serve. This course covers the root causes of disparities in breastfeeding rates, information to support consistent messaging about breastfeeding, policies and best practices for breastfeeding in everyday life, and how professionals can champion breastfeeding when communicating with families.
How to Take the Course
Go to My Courses - (mihealth.org). At the login screen, enter your User ID and password and click Go. First time users will need to click the Create New User button. On the Select an Organization screen, select Public and leave the Access Code field blank. Click continue and complete the Create New User screen. Once logged in, locate the course you want to take (in either the Course Catalog or My Courses tab) and click the Launch Course icon to the left of the course name. To find the breastfeeding course, search for the title: Breastfeeding for Professionals Working with Families.
The following continuing education is awarded for successful completion of this course: 1.0 Nursing contact hour, 1.0 Social Work clock hour, 1.0 LCERP, 1.0 CME, and 1.0 Health Educator contact hour.
