Global TB Epidemiology
The World Health Organization (WHO) creates a Global Tuberculosis Report every year. The 2024 report states that an estimated 10.8 million people developed TB worldwide in 2023, which is higher than 2022, 2021, or 2020. The number of deaths globally in 2023 that were caused by TB was 1.25 million, which is a decrease from best estimates for 2022, 2021, or 2020.
