Local Health Department (LHD) Follow-Up
The EDN system is a centralized electronic reporting system that collects health information on newly arriving refugees and immigrants with Class A and Class B medical conditions. Many Michigan LHDs do not have direct access to the EDN system due to a low burden of immigrant and refugee arrivals. For these health departments, the MDHHS TB Program will receive documents through EDN and fax them to LHD staff for domestic TB evaluation. If you are unsure of your access to EDN, please contact the state TB Program.
- Michigan LHD Guide for TB Evaluation of Immigrants & Refugees: This guide is for LHDs who have access to EDN. It reviews the expected procedures for LHDs to follow while performing TB follow-ups for arrivals with a TB class condition.
