TB Disease Treatment
Tuberculosis is able to be treated and cured with the right medications. If you have been diagnosed with TB disease, it's very important that you take any medicines exactly as your doctor prescribed. Please reach out directly to your doctor if you have any questions. The below resources offer some general information on treatment for TB disease.
- CDC's Questions and Answers About Tuberculosis is a booklet that provides information on the diagnosis and treatment of TB infection and TB disease. The booklet is available in many languages in addition to English, including Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Pashto, Dari, Ukrainian, and Russian.
- CDC's Treatment for TB Disease webpage has specific information available on the different treatment regimens for TB.
- Active TB Disease Fact Sheet from Oregon Health Authority has information on TB disease and treatment. The handout is also available in more languages, which can be found on their education materials page (note that you can filter by language).
