The Special Investigations Unit investigated allegations that a CDC provider was falsifying billing records for children in her care. The investigation revealed that the provider overbilled the department. The provider was criminally charged and pled guilty. The provider was ordered to pay restitution of $55,000 to the State of Michigan.
