Webinars are live web-based seminars or workshops that are transmitted over the Internet yet still allow interaction between the presenter and participants no matter where they are located. After viewing the webinar, you will be sent a link to a site where you can complete an attendance record, evaluation, and post-test. Pending a passing score of 75% or higher on your post-test, we will mail you a Certificate of Completion.

Parent-Child Attachment Relationships & the Effects of Attachment Disruption

This webinar will provide a general overview of attachment, parent-child attachment relationships, and the effects of attachment disruption on the emotional and behavioral lives of children. The formation of parent-infant/child attachment relationships and the impact of an infant/child’s attachment style on all current and future relationships and functioning will be briefly touched upon. The connections between attachment and emotional regulation and between attachment and behavioral expressions will be discussed. A description of the nature of a positive attachment relationship and the mediating factors of secure attachment in the midst of unfavorable life events will be considered.
