2015 Michigan Teen Conference

This special conference is for youth ages 14-21 preparing to exit foster care, their caregivers and the professionals who work with them.

When: Wednesday-Thursday June 17-18, 2015
Where: Saginaw Valley State University
7400 Bay Road, University Center, MI 48710

Youth must be ages 14 to 21 and in Foster Care or Independent Living or Young Adult Voluntary Foster Care. If attendees are under the age of 18, a chaperone MUST attend the conference with them and accompany them at all times. It is strongly recommended that youth ages 18+ also have a chaperone.

• Job search/employment
• Legal rights of youth in care and as adults
• Mentoring
• Michigan Youth Opportunities Initiatives
• Money management—beginner and advanced
• Resources for older youth (ETV, YIT, YAVFC)
• Social media
