Child Abuse Investigations in the Cyber Age

The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan, Child Abuse Training Services, in cooperation with the Prosecuting Attorneys Coordinating Council, and the Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is pleased to present this cross-professional Specialized Child Abuse Training seminar.

This seminar is designed for CPS & FC workers (MDHHS), law enforcement, child advocacy center forensic interviewers, and prosecuting attorneys.
Topics for this seminar will include:
How cellular telephones can enhance your investigations
Students will learn what information can be found both on a cellular telephone and any related memory cards; as well as what information may reside with the service provider. Examples of how this information has helped with previous cases will also be presented.
There is no tuition charge or charge for materials for this seminar. Attendees are responsible for reserving and paying for overnight accommodations, and all transportation, meals, and other incidental costs. Overnight accommodations are available at the Great Wolf Lodge. The rates for this conference are $75.00 for single occupancy; $100.00 double/triple/quad occupancy - $30 per person/per night above occupancy of 4. There is also a resort fee of $9.99 added per room/ per night. You must mention you are with the Prosecuting Attorneys Association to receive these rates. This rate is only guaranteed until February 10, 2014. Please reserve your room prior to that date to take advantage of the discounted rate.
The Prosecuting Attorneys Association office must receive seminar registration forms by February 14, 2014. Registration is limited to 100 people so please register early. Topics are subject to change. When space at seminars is available, we welcome participation from professionals in addition to CPS & FC (MDHHS) workers, law enforcement, child advocacy center forensic interviewers and prosecutors.
