Miguel Rodriguez is Executive Director of Capital Area Community Services, Inc. (CACS), a Community Action Agency serving residents of Ingham, Eaton, Clinton and Shiawassee counties. Programs offered by CACS such as Head Start, Weatherization, Utility Assistance, Emergency Food Programs, Financial Literacy & Foreclosure Prevention, Emergency Housing, Tax Preparation, Information and Referral, Senior Citizen Services, and other social service programs are meant to assist clients achieve self-sufficiency. Mr. Rodriguez has over 30 years working in the nonprofit sector with previous experience in community action serving as Director of the Kalamazoo County Community Action Bureau and as a Grant Manager with the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services, Bureau of Community Action and Economic Opportunity. Mr. Rodriguez looks forward to being able to use both his personal and professional experiences to create ways to address poverty and create systems to assist individuals and families become self-sufficient.
