2023 HMP Demonstration Waiver Extension Request Information
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) plans to submit the Healthy Michigan Plan §1115 Demonstration Waiver Renewal Application request to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to improve access to health care services for low-income Michigan residents who are uninsured or underinsured, while implementing a comprehensive benefit package with the intent to improve health outcomes.
MDHHS is seeking a 5-year extension of the Medicaid Expansion §1115 Demonstration Waiver, known as the Healthy Michigan Plan (HMP) which expires December 31, 2023.
Public Hearing
MDHHS will host two public hearings to provide an overview and discussion of the Healthy Michigan Plan §1115 Demonstration Waiver Request Amendment, where all interested parties will have an opportunity to provide comments.
