Infant Health Epidemiology
Infant Health Epidemiologist Roles and Responsibilities:
The Infant Health Epidemiologist conducts all advanced epidemiologic analyses and provides all epidemiological support related to perinatal and infant health morbidity and mortality for the State of Michigan. This position is responsible for producing the data that is utilized by the Department to improve birth outcomes of all mothers and to reduce disparities across the State of Michigan. This position is also responsible for all complex infant health-related statistical analyses that are conducted by the Department. In addition, this position assists in identifying epidemiologic priorities related to infant health in collaboration with program staff, conducting identified activities and fostering active collaboration with other maternal child health programs as well as other MCH epidemiologists.
