Signature cure guidelines

Curing a rejected signature on Absent Voter Ballot Application or Absent Voter Ballot

Your absent voter ballot application or absent voter ballot has been rejected because of a missing signature or your signature did not match the signature on file in the Qualified Voter File.

Absent Voter Ballot Application Rejection:

If your absent voter ballot application was rejected because of signature, it cannot be processed until the rejected signature is resolved. To resolve the signature rejection, you can return this completed Absent Voter Ballot Application Signature Form to your local clerk by email, mail or in-person by 4pm Friday before Election Day. If you miss that deadline, you must return this form in person by 4pm the Monday before Election Day. This form cannot be returned after 4pm the Monday before Election Day. If you miss the deadline to request an absent ballot, you can still vote in person at your local polling place. You can find your local clerk information on Michigan.gov/Vote.
