How to read the Michigan driving record

The Michigan Driving Record (MDR) established by Michigan law contains information for individuals licensed in Michigan, unlicensed drivers, and out-of-state licensed drivers convicted of traffic violations in Michigan. The MDR is compiled of information submitted by the Secretary of State branch offices, internal units, courts, police agencies, other states, and the Department of Community Health.
