If you are requesting a replacement tab at a Secretary of State office, you will need:

Email us at Michigan.gov/ContactSOS or visit a Secretary of State office. There is no charge for replacing a defective tab.
A $5 replacement fee is charged for tabs that are damaged, lost, or stolen.

If your tab was stolen, contact law enforcement.

Duplicate watercraft or moped registration is $2

Duplicate snowmobile registration is $5.

Add your alternative mailing address to your account before requesting your replacement tab or registration.
