The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy Air Quality Division (AQD) went live in MiEnviro Portal (MiEnviro) with dry cleaning and emissions reporting program areas in 2023. In December 2024 the AQD onboarded permitting and compliance reporting in MiEnviro.
The team working on the launch of these program areas included staff across the division. Countless hours were spent creating guidance and training staff internally before the system was open for external stakeholders. Air quality staff are striving to make the transition to MiEnviro as seamless as possible. Some facts about the launch of MiEnviro:

- 325,955 people reached with messaging about the launch compliance reporting and permitting in MiEnviro.
- Hours of training:
- Over 65 hours spent training air quality staff.
- Over 30 hours spent training external users.
- Emails to EGLE-Air-MiEnviro@Michigan.gov:
- 12,883 emails answered.
- 3,343 emails answered since December 16, 2025, Go-Live.
