An environmental emergency is a sudden threat to public health or the well-being of the environment from the release or potential release of oil, radioactive materials, or hazardous chemicals into the air, land, or water.
This hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Reported an emergency?
Many incidents reportable to EGLE also warrant reporting to the federal National Response Center (NRC), which serves the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Coast Guard.
