Michigan Dry Cleaning Program
The Dry Cleaning Program licenses, inspects and regulates Type I, II, III, or IV establishments annually to protect workers, the general public and the environment from overexposure to dry cleaning solvents. Approval from the Dry Cleaning Program must be obtained prior to constructing or opening a new dry cleaning establishment, installation of new equipment, or modifications at an existing establishment.
MiEnviro Portal
The Dry Cleaning Program has moved to MiEnviro Portal from the Michigan Environmental Results Program (MERP). Using MiEnviro you can:
- Pay your license fee.
- Pay your Category F air fee.
- Permit a new dry cleaning machine.
- Submit any records.

Facilities of public interest
The Air Quality Division shares information about facilities regulated by state and federal air quality regulations in Michigan through MiEnviro Portal Site Explorer.
This information includes but is not limited to, Permits to Install (PTI), Renewable Operating Permits (ROP), inspection reports, stack test reports, and enforcement documents. Lists of historical information, pre-December 10, 2024 is still available.
