Coastal Flood Zones: A presentation on the new FEMA coastal flood zones in Michigan
Is there a Coastal Flood Zone in your community and do you know the development requirements? This presentation will help answer this question and cover where the new zones are located, how to interpret FEMA maps around coastal areas, and will also include a summary on coastal floodplain requirements for development. Anyone involved or interested in development within coastal communities such as supervisors, clerks, building officials and inspectors, engineers, and surveyors are welcome to attend.
