The Michigan Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides all persons (except persons incarcerated in correctional facilities) with access to public records of public bodies. Requests to inspect or receive public records from EGLE must be in writing and describe the requested records with enough detail to enable the department to identify and locate the requested records. Some records are exempt from disclosure under the FOIA or another statute and thus will not be provided. A fee may be charged to process your request. Please note that many records are available that do not require a formal FOIA request.

EGLE is offering financial assistance to support education and training for the clean energy workforce. This program will address gaps in Michigan’s public and private advanced energy workforce development training, for both participants and employers, increase access to wrap around services for training participants, and continue to build and maintain relationships with educational institutions at all levels.

Any 501(c)(3) organizations, 501(c)(6) organizations, or small businesses located in Michigan are eligible to apply.
A total of $1,000,000 in funding is available. The minimum award is $5,000 and the maximum award is $450,000.
Eligible expenditures include contractual services, supplies/materials, and equipment items. EGLE WILL NOT FUND ANY EXPENDITURES THAT HAVE OCCURRED BEFORE A GRANT AGREEMENT HAS BEEN EXECUTED.
Grant awards will be distributed on a reimbursement basis only, meaning grantees must pay project costs in full prior to receiving funds from EGLE. EGLE will reimburse grantees their award amount once proper invoices, receipts, and proof of payments have been received and reviewed.
