Clean Tech Adoption
Energy Storage Roadmap for Michigan
The Energy Storage Roadmap for Michigan was created to determine how best to enable the deployment and growth of energy storage in Michigan and as a guide for policy makers in order to achieve the level of energy storage deployment necessary to support Michigan's future grid. This Roadmap includes immediate, short-term (1 to 5 years), and long-term (>5 years) policy recommendations for the Governor/executive branch agencies, Michigan Public Service Commission, and Michigan Legislature.
Energy Issues and Policies in Michigan Local Governments Report
This report presents the opinions of Michigan's local government leaders regarding a variety of energy issues and policies in their jurisdictions, including the relevance of particular energy policies for their communities, whether the jurisdiction has staff or external consultants devoted to energy issues, energy audits in government facilities, barriers to local energy policymaking, and more. These findings are based on statewide surveys of local government leaders conducted in the Fall 2019 Michigan Local Energy Survey (MiLES), a special wave of the Michigan Public Policy Survey.

The project, driven by stakeholders, takes an analytical approach to optimizing placement of EV charging stations statewide with minimal investment cost and user delay.

The recommended actions outlined in this report serve to advance equity and environmental outcomes in Michigan's rental housing sector while supporting, strengthening, and scaling the pioneering work of Michigan cities already leading rental policy development across the state.
UP Energy Waste Reduction Roadmap
The UP Energy Waste Reduction Roadmap is designed as a starting point for conversations between U.P. stakeholders, including utilities, program implementers, local government representatives, businesses, residents, and others, to identify ways to increase potential benefits of EWR program portfolios by capturing delivery efficiencies, expanding the reach of existing and future programs, and leveraging the local EWR investments.
