MDARD Director to Testify Before U.S. Senate Ag Committee

Director Boring invited to provide specialty crop insight for Farm Bill hearing

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) Director Tim Boring will testify this morning before the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry.

The hearing was rescheduled from earlier this month. Director Boring will be part of a panel at 10:30 a.m. entitled "Perspectives From the Field: Farmer and Rancher Views on the Agricultural Economy, Part 2".

A livestream will be available on the committee's website. His submitted written testimony will also be available on the hearing page at some point this morning.

During the hearing, Director Boring will provide an opening statement and then take questions from Senators as part of the panel.
