State Licensing Consultative Section (SLCS)
The State Licensing Consultative Section (SLCS) helps to support education and provide non-punitive consultation, guidance, and recommendations to nursing homes in the state of Michigan. SLCS conducts at least one on-site, focused consultation annually with each licensed nursing home in Michigan and continues to add new consultative topics based on industry needs. The goal of these consultations is to improve resident care and facility regulatory compliance through on-site, educational, and collaborative consultations. Nursing homes are encouraged to seek additional consultations, resources, and guidance as needed.
