Becoming an Outdoors Woman Summer Workshop
Becoming an Outdoors Woman Summer Workshop
Join outdoor instructors as they guide women new to outdoor skills in their choice of sessions.
After registering, you will be sent a form to select which classes you’d like to attend, ranking them in order (first come, first served for each). You’ll choose from these outdoor skills: fly fishing, archery, shooting, kayaking, backpacking basics, fly tying, backcountry cooking and preparing for a hunt. And everyone can attend the nighttime events – stargazing, owl prowls, bonfires and campfire stories!
See more details in the workshop agenda.
This June 20-22 weekend will be held at the Ralph A. MacMullan Conference Center on the shore of Higgins Lake in Roscommon. Dinner Friday through lunch Sunday will be provided, and the $250 registration fee covers double lodging too, so bring a friend. (Single lodging will be an additional $30 per night, charged on-site).
To register for this class, go to Michigan.gov/DNRLicenses and click on the "Purchase a license" button. Sign in (using either a username and password or your ID and birthdate), and find the class under the Becoming an Outdoors Woman tab.
Cancellation policy: To cancel your registration, please contact our Customer Service help desk line at 800-737-6367. Cancellations made up to 14 days prior to the program will be completely refunded to the original form of payment. If you cancel after the two-week deadline, no refund will be issued.
