Join us for the Nick’s Memorial Whitetail Deer Habitat Clinic, a workshop designed to enhance your knowledge and skills in managing property for whitetail deer. This hands-on clinic, hosted by the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center in partnership with Killer Food Plots, will cover essential strategies for establishing and maintaining food plots, whether you have access to equipment or not.

You will learn about:

  • Effective seed selection for various property conditions and objectives.
  • Proven techniques for planting and maintaining food plots.
  • Comprehensive property management strategies to improve whitetail deer habitat.
  • Tree planting.
  • Practical methods for success, regardless of available equipment.

    This clinic is designed to provide you with practical, actionable knowledge to help achieve your habitat management goals. Participants will gain valuable insight from experts with extensive experience in food plots and property management.

Cost for the class is $30, which includes lunch and materials.

To register for this class, go to Michigan.gov/DNRLicenses and click on the "Purchase a license" button. Sign in (using either a username and password or your ID and birthdate), and find the class under the Outdoor Skills Academy tab.

Cancellation policy: To cancel your registration, please contact our Customer Service help desk line at 800-737-6367. Cancellations made up to 14 days prior to the program will be completely refunded to the original form of payment. If you cancel after the two-week deadline, no refund will be issued.
