Michigan Challenge Program for General Industry
Workplace safety is not only important, it makes good business sense. Do you want to learn how to identify unsafe work conditions? Need assistance in preventing costly workplace accidents? Looking to develop a strategy that supports your employees' safety and health while improving your company's bottom line? The Michigan Challenge Program (MCP) for general industry can help. This program is an effective tool for employers to develop management and employee skills in safety- and health-related work practices. Best of all, it's free.
MCP provides employers with the opportunity to develop an effective safety and health program through a cooperative agreement with MIOSHA. During the program, a consultant will conduct workplace hazard surveys and offer training on OSHA's seven core elements of an effective safety and health program. Participants can choose to discontinue their involvement at any time; however, remaining in the program allows your workplace to benefit from free CET services and a six-month deferral from programmed inspections.
