SPECIAL LOCAL WATERCRAFT CONTROLS - LAPEER COUNTY
BIG FISH LAKE - R281.744.1 - High-speed boating and water skiing prohibited.
1. On the waters of Big Fish lake, Hadley township, Lapeer county, state of Michigan, no operator of any motorboat shall during the period from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. of the following day:
(a) Operate such motorboat at high speed.
(b) Have in tow, or shall otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.
On the waters of Big Fish lake, Hadley township, Lapeer county, state of Michigan, no operator of any motorboat shall have in tow, or shall otherwise assist in the propulsion of, more than two persons on water skis, water sleds, surfboards or similar contrivance.

CLEAR LAKE - WC-44-91-002 - High-speed boating prohibited.
High-speed boating and water skiing are prohibited on the waters of Clear lake, Arcadia township, Lapeer county, state of Michigan. No operator of any motorized vessel shall:
(a) Operate at high rate of speed. A "high rate of speed" is that speed at or above which a motorized vessel reaches a planing condition.
(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist

DAVISON LAKE - R281.744.2 - High-speed boating and water skiing prohibited.
2. On the waters of Davison lake, Hadley township, Lapeer county, state of Michigan, no operator of any motorboat shall:
(a) Operate such motorboat at high speed.
(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, surfboard, or other similar contrivance. (See R281.763.11 for regulation covering the part of this lake lying in Brandon township, Oakland county.)

FLINT RIVER - WC-44-92-001 - Slow-no wake speed.
On the waters of the Flint river, sections 13, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27, T9N and R9E, from the north boundary of the village of Columbiaville to the confluence of the north and south branches of the Flint river and the north and south branches of the Flint river with Marathon township, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.
The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.

HEMMINGWAY LAKE - R281.744.4 - Hours for high-speed boating and water skiing
4. On the water of Hemmingway lake, section 9, town 9 north, range 9 east, Marathon township, Lapeer county, it is unlawful, during the period from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. of the following day, to:
(a) Operate a vessel at high speed.
(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, kite, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

HOLLOWAY RESERVOIR - WC-44-93-001 - Slow-no wake speed.
On the waters of Holloway Reservoir, Village of Columbiaville, Lapeer county, state of Michigan, north of a line described as: The south side of the 2nd Street Bridge, north to the Village limits, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.
The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.

LAPEER STATE GAME AREA (LSGA) - WC-44-12-001 - Slow-no wake speed.
On the waters located within the Lapeer State Game Area including Mayfield Township, town 8 north, range 10 east, Orgon Township, town 8 north, range 9 east, Arcadia Township, town 87 north, range 11 east, Marathon Township, town 9 north, range 9 east, Deerfield Township, town 9 north, range 10 east, and excluding; 1) Long Lake and connecting impoundments, 2) Duperow Lake; 3) Fish Lake; and 4 ) South Branch Flint River; It is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-now wake speed.

LONG LAKE AND CONNECTED IMPOUNDMENTS - WC-44-12-002 - Motors Prohibited Except Trolling Motors.
On the waters of Long Lake and connected impoundments that are within the limits of Arcadia Township, town 8 north, 11 east, and Mayfield Township, town 8 north, and 10 east, it is unlawful to operate a vessel powered by a motor, except an electric trolling motor.

On the waters of Miller lake, section 20, T9N, R10E, Deerfield township, Lapeer county, it is unlawful to operate a vessel powered by a motor except an electric motor.

OTTER LAKE - R281.744.5 - Hours for high-speed boating and water skiing.
5. On the waters of Otter lake, sections 6 and 7, T9N, R9E, village of Otter Lake and Marathon township, Lapeer county, it is unlawful between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. of the following day to:
(a) Operate a vessel at high speed.
(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, kite, surfboard, or other similar contrivance. (For regulation covering that part of Otter Lake which lies in Genesee county, see R281.725.10.)

6. On the waters of Pero lake, section 21, T8N, R9E, Oregon township, Lapeer county, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to:
(a) Operate a vessel at high speed.
(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, a water sled, kite, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

3. On the waters of the two channels connecting Big pond and Long pond, on the waters of Long pond, Little pond, Tree Top pond and Miller pond, and on the waters of channels interconnecting the ponds of Seven lakes, township of Dryden, county of Lapeer, state of Michigan, no operator of any motorboat shall exceed a slow-no wake speed.
