Trees & Me and Growing Up WILD early education workshop on April 16 at the Farmington Hills Nature Center
This early childhood workshop goes over PLT - Trees & Me and Growing Up Wild. These are early childhood education programs (Ages 1-7) from Project Learning Tree and Project WILD that builds on children's sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore plants and wildlife, and the natural world around them. Through a wide range of activities and experiences, Project Learning Tree and Project WILD provide early foundations for developing positive impressions about nature and lifelong social and academic skills. During the workshop, educators will discover how to use the two activity books (Trees & Me; Growing Up Wild) and participate in ready-to-go lessons that can be used in a formal classroom setting, outdoors or non-formal education program. Lessons align with school curriculum objectives.
SCECHs available upon request. Portions of the workshop will be held outdoors. Come prepared for the weather! Lunch provided and all registered participants will leave with the Project Learning Tree - Trees & Me and Growing Up Wild activity books. Register online today!
