Winter Adaptations

In this program, your kindergarten through 12th grade students will explore how Michigan’s plants and animals survive the cold winter months. Through hands-on activities and guided observations, they will learn about the unique strategies species use to stay warm, find food and protect themselves during the harsh winter conditions. Additionally, we will investigate how these adaptations have had long-lasting effects on human innovations and survival.

To register, email park interpreter Brandon Griffith at GriffithB4@Michigan.gov or call 231-843-2423.
