Rochester Community Schools
Kelley Cusmano is the 2024-2025 Michigan Teacher of the Year. She is also an English & Student Leadership Teacher Leader at Rochester High School in Rochester, MI. She is in her 20th year of teaching and has taught in Rochester since 2008. In addition to her teaching position, she also serves as a district secondary ELA curriculum consultant for Rochester Community Schools. In March 2017 she was named MASC Adviser of the Year by the Michigan Association of Student Councils. Previously, in 2016 she was an ASCD Emerging Leader and in 2018, she was part of a team of educators that organized the MI Governor’s Summit on Education and Talent. Currently, she is an at-large representative for the Michigan ASCD organization and serves as a board member on the National Association for Student Activities.
