Graduation Guidance
Graduation Guidance
To help Michigan educators improve graduation rates for students, the Michigan Department of Education (MDE), in partnership with educational leaders, provides local educators with this Graduation Rate Guidance document. This document contributes to Goal 5 of Michigan’s Top 10 Strategic Education Plan: to increase the percentage of all students who graduate from high school. The guidance contains resources associated with four research-based strategies: absenteeism interventions, academic enrichment and tutorial support, extra-curricular engagement, and mentoring. It includes links to state and national research and resources. MDE encourages educators to read the information and implement strategies that may benefit their students.
