Division of Assessment, School Improvement, and Systems Support

The Division of Assessment, School Improvement, and Systems Support was established to:

  • Align and coordinate resources and supports that focus on high quality instruction that centers students and the needs of the whole child
  • Expand services to school districts through effective systems delivery
  • Support Michigan's education research agenda in partnership with the Michigan Education Research Initiative (MERI)
  • Assess student outcomes to meet federal obligations for school accountability

The Deputy Superintendent for DASISS provides leadership to the offices of Educational Assessment & Accountability, Educational Supports, and Systems, Evaluation, and Technology.
