Division of Assessment, School Improvement, and Systems Support
The Division of Assessment, School Improvement, and Systems Support was established to:
- Align and coordinate resources and supports that focus on high quality instruction that centers students and the needs of the whole child
- Expand services to school districts through effective systems delivery
- Support Michigan's education research agenda in partnership with the Michigan Education Research Initiative (MERI)
- Assess student outcomes to meet federal obligations for school accountability
The Deputy Superintendent for DASISS provides leadership to the offices of Educational Assessment & Accountability, Educational Supports, and Systems, Evaluation, and Technology.
