Marquette Unemployment Insurance office to be co-located with UPWWARD Talent Council

May 31, 2018 – Unemployed workers in Marquette will now have the convenience of unemployment insurance and reemployment services all in one location.
The Marquette Unemployment Insurance office, currently located at 2833 US 41 West, has moved 2.5 miles to join Michigan Works! at 1498 O’Dovero Drive.
“Being housed together is an ideal situation for ensuring unemployed workers are able to make more of a seamless transition to reemployment,” said Michelle Beebe, the Senior Deputy Director for Unemployment Insurance in the Talent Investment Agency (TIA).
Unemployment representatives assist customers with unemployment benefit questions, work search and other employment opportunities, help claimants manage their unemployment account online and provide access to automated employment resources. Michigan Works! also provides job seeker services such as resume building and career guidance.
"We look forward to the opportunity to partner and co-locate with the Marquette Unemployment Insurance office, as this provides an efficient and convenient path for people to access comprehensive assistance via the American Job Center, especially as they look to connect with training opportunities and re-enter the workforce,” said Bill Raymond, Chief Executive Officer at UPWARD Talent Council Michigan Works!
The Marquette unemployment insurance office began moving on May 30 but will remain open for customers until officially closed on June 1st at 2833 US 41 W. Customers may receive unemployment insurance services at the Michigan Works office starting on May 31st.
