Ahmed Elhady
Statewide
Ahmed brings more than a decade of experience in training and development, with a particular focus in education. His career includes working with the U.S. Embassy’s Education Advising Office, where he fostered cultural exchange and mutual understanding by supporting the integration of foreign students arriving to the United States. He has worked alongside the U.S. Air Force as an instructor supervisor and served locally with the City of Dearborn. He is fluent in English and Arabic and holds a degree in education from Wayne State University.
For the past four years, Ahmed has been a dedicated member of the Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA), serving in various impactful roles. Before becoming the Statewide Community Liaison, he served as an analyst with the Office of Employer Ombudsman in the Tax and Employer Services Division and as an examiner at the Detroit Local Office in the Benefits Division. Ahmed played a pivotal role in the inception of the Community Connect initiative, initially serving as a liaison in Region 9.
In his new role as the Statewide Community Liaison, Ahmed aims to give immigrants and other marginalized groups the tools that recognize them as a value added to their community and the State of Michigan.
