Service Locations

Unemployment Insurance Local Offices provide in-person help for customers with unemployment insurance claims. Telephones and computers are available for those who may not have access to a computer or telephone to file their claim.

• Your Social Security Number, your Driver's License Number or State Identification or your MARVIN PIN (if you have one)
• If you are not a U.S. citizen or national, you will need your Alien Registration Number and the expiration date of your work authorization.
• Names and addresses of employers you have worked for in the past 18 months including quarterly gross earnings and the last date of employment with each.

Michigan is home to approximately 1.3 million individuals with disabilities. Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) provides specialized employment and education-related services and training to assist teens and adults with disabilities in becoming employed or retaining employment. In addition, MRS partners and collaborates with the State Department of Education, local school systems, Michigan Career and Technical Institute (MCTI), community colleges, four-year colleges, and universities to develop statewide school-to-work, postsecondary, and adult life programs to help students with disabilities succeed in secondary and postsecondary education and transition to employment.  We work in partnership with individuals with disabilities to achieve independence and prepare for and obtain competitive employment, including exploring the possibilities of self-employment or owning a small business.

MSHDA provides resources and services for Michiganders who are soon to be or are homeowners including Housing Educators and the MI Home Loan program. MSHDA's state-wide network of Housing Educators provide various services to assist potential homebuyers and current homeowners.

The MI Home Loan program is a mortgage product that is available to first-time homebuyers state-wide and repeat homebuyers in targeted areas.  All homebuyers work directly with a participating lender.

Program Description: 

• Michigan Down Payment up to $7,500. (Homebuyer Education class required.)
• Available to first-time homebuyers (have not owned a home in the previous three years) statewide and repeat homebuyers in targeted areas.
• Household income limits apply and can vary depending on family size and property location.
• Sales Price limit - $224,500 statewide.
• Minimum credit score of 640 required or 660 for multiple-section manufactured homes.
