Resident Trainee
The Resident Trainee license expires on January 31st of every year. The renewal reminder will be sent to the sponsor Funeral Establishment that is on file with the Department approximately 60 days prior to the date of renewal. The license should be renewed online in MiCLEAR. The renewal fee is $30.
Mortuary Science License
The Mortuary Science License expires on October 31st of every odd-numbered year. The renewal reminder will be sent to the mailing address that is on file with the Department approximately 60 days prior to the date of renewal. The license should be renewed online in MiCLEAR. The renewal fee is $80.
Funeral Establishment
The Funeral Establishment license expires on October 31st of every odd-numbered year. The renewal reminder will be sent to the Funeral Establishment mailing address that is on file with the Department approximately 60 days prior to the license expiration date. The license should be renewed online in MiCLEAR. The renewal fee is $110. The Funeral Establishment manager's license must be renewed before the Funeral Establishment license will be issued.
Mortuary Science Courtesy License
The Mortuary Science Courtesy License expires two years from the date of issuance. The renewal reminder will be sent to the mailing address that is on file with the Department approximately 60 days prior to the date of renewal. The license should be renewed online in MiCLEAR. The renewal fee is $270.
Change of Contact Information for Licensee
Licensees must ensure the Department has the most current address on file so that the renewal reminder will be received. If changes need to be made to the licensee's address, phone number, or email address they must be completed online in MiCLEAR.
