Article 18A of the Occupational Code, Act 299 of 1980, provides for the regulation of refrigeration facilities and removal services.
* Applications will be available online through MiCLEAR, beginning on April 2, 2025. *
The Department licenses refrigeration facilities and removal services which are regulated under Article 18A of the Occupational Code.

A place of business that operates independently of a funeral establishment or crematory owner that maintains a holding room. |

Removal Service |
A person that operates independently of a funeral establishment that handles the initial removal of a dead human body and transports the dead human body in a authorized vehicle to and from an authorized person. |
