Consumer Fireworks Licensing Information
Per the Michigan Fireworks Safety Act, Public Act 256 of 2011: A person shall not sell consumer fireworks unless the person annually obtains a consumer fireworks certificate from the department. Applications to sell consumer-grade fireworks in Michigan are accepted from January 1st through April 1st, yearly (applications close at midnight on April 1st). Late submissions are not permitted.
