The Elevator Section is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Michigan Elevator Code by conducting inspections of elevator installations and alterations as well as annual safety inspections. This section also investigates elevator accidents and violations of the Michigan Elevator Code and assures proper elevator permits have been issued.
