Attorneys General Nessel and Mayes Discuss Federal Mass Firings in Latest Episode of Pantsuits and Lawsuits

LANSING – In the latest episode of their recently launched podcast, Pantsuits and Lawsuits, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes break down the unprecedented mass firings sweeping through federal agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Centers for Disease Control, and the nation's nuclear weapons programs.

They also joined a coalition of 20 attorneys general in suing President Donald Trump and numerous federal agencies for conducting illegal mass layoffs of federal probationary employees. 

“It was incredibly insightful talking to Max about what it’s like on the ground for federal employees facing this illegal, unprecedented upheaval,” Nessel said. “These mass firings aren’t just bureaucratic shake-ups in Washington, D.C. They are decisions with real consequences, including for our veterans, who are losing access to essential services and being cast aside after dedicating their careers to serving this country.”
