DROP Enrollment

To enroll in the Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP), you need to complete a state police Retirement or DROP Application (R0732H) form. Send your completed form to the Michigan Office of Retirement Services. File this DROP application form between 30 and 90 days before your retirement effective date, which is the date you would cease being an active member of this retirement system and become a DROP participant.

Your participation effective date is the first day of the month you indicated on your DROP election/retirement application. Think carefully about your decision to participate in the DROP. Once your DROP application is accepted, your participation in the program is irrevocable.
