Disability Retirement
If you become ill or injured while an enlisted state police officer and you can no longer work, your retirement plan provides protection for you and your dependents.
Eligibility and calculations depend on whether your disability is considered duty or nonduty:
- Duty disability. An illness or injury incurred while discharging your duties as a state police officer.
- Nonduty disability. An illness or injury incurred outside of work.
