Jeremy Bush
Correctional Facilities Administration
Jeremy Bush was named Deputy Director for the Correctional Facilities Administration on October 6, 2020, by Director Heidi E. Washington.
He has more than 20 years of experience, beginning his career as a Corrections Officer at the State Prison of Southern Michigan. During his career, he has worked at SMI, JMF, SCF, WCC, SMT and RGC. He has worked with all custody levels, youthful offenders, and both male and female prisoners. He was a member of the Emergency Response Team where he excelled and rose to Assistant Commander.
Bush has promoted through the custody ranks working as a Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Inspector, Acting Deputy Warden, and in 2015 he promoted to Warden at Charles E. Egeler Reception and Guidance Center. Prior to becoming Deputy Director, he was the acting Assistant Deputy Director for the Southern Region.
Bush holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Baker College, and a Master of Science in Management, Strategy and Leadership from Michigan State University.
