Kate joined MVAA in April 2022 as the Grants Specialist and now serves as the first Grants Manager overseeing the administration and financial management of all grant programs within the Agency.
Kate has a long-standing history with the State of Michigan. Prior she held positions with the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity's workforce development team where she administered grants assisting the adult, dislocated worker, and youth populations, the Michigan Department of Treasury, and the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency. The unexpected loss of her veteran husband in September 2015 is what led her to her current work serving veterans.
Kate received her bachelor’s degree in journalism/mass communication from the University of Olivet and resides in DeWitt with her boyfriend David and two children, Trevor, and Taylor. She enjoys concerts, traveling, watching her children’s sporting events, and spending time with family and friends
