Chelsea Rider, Strategic Outreach Manager
Chelsea Rider is the daughter and granddaughter of veterans from the Marine Corps, Army, and Navy, and has been with the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency as the Community Analyst since April 2023. Prior to MVAA, she served as the Director of Professional Development and Outreach for a national law enforcement advocacy nonprofit, where she had been since graduating from Michigan State University College of Law. Before law school, Rider served as a military police soldier with the U.S. Army.
In addition to her law degree, Rider has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in criminal justice and political science, with a philosophy major from Saginaw Valley State University. She also obtained an Associate of Science degree in paralegal studies from Kapi`olani Community College in Hawai`i.
Rider lives in Fenton with her two daughters (Isabella, 14, and Gwyndolyn, 13) and her Boston terrier, Hamilton. She is a state (Texas and Michigan!) record-holding powerlifter, an avid hockey fan, a voracious reader, and a licensed Texas attorney.
