The Forensic Science Division has continually been accredited to conduct forensic testing since 1984. Accreditation is achieved to ensure forensic tests are completed by competent individuals with acceptable methods in an environment to achieve quality and consistency. The Forensic Science Division most recently was accredited in 2016 by ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), the longest-serving forensic accreditation body in North America, to the ISO/IEC 17025 international standards.
